When to call about water heater installation

These are the situations we handle every week across New York. If yours is on this list, it is worth a call rather than a wait.

  • A tank past ten years old that is starting to leak
  • A heater that cannot keep up with a growing household
  • An old unit that fails inspection during a home sale
  • Rusted connections and a corroded tank base
  • A replacement needed today, not next week
  • An undersized tank causing cold showers every morning

Emergency?

If water is running and you cannot stop it, or sewage is coming into the building, call (888) 809-6756 now. We will tell you what to shut off while the truck is on its way.

How the visit works

  1. Size it properly

Number of bathrooms, household size and peak demand decide the capacity and recovery rate, not just matching the old label.

  2. Quote the whole job

Unit, removal and disposal of the old tank, new connections, expansion tank and permit where required, in one number.

  3. Install and bring connections to code

New flex connectors, a proper T and P discharge line, correct venting on gas units and a drain pan where the location calls for it.

  4. Test and hand over

We fill, purge the air, set the thermostat to a safe temperature and show you the shut-off and the drain valve.

What affects the price

Every job is quoted flat, before work starts. What moves that number up or down is usually one of these.

FactorWhat it means for your quote
AccessAn accessible basement run costs less than the same repair inside a finished wall, a tight crawlspace or a third-floor riser.
What has actually failedA worn part is a fraction of the cost of a failed assembly. We diagnose before quoting rather than pricing for the worst case.
Age and materialOld galvanised pipe, brittle cast iron and non-standard fittings all add time. We tell you if we find them.
Scope you chooseWhere there is a cheaper repair and a longer-lasting replacement, you get both prices and you decide.

Nights, weekends and holidays are priced the same way. There is no after-hours multiplier added to the invoice at the end.

What customers say

Answered at 4am. Talked me through shutting the main off while the truck was on the way.

Stephanie K.

My tenant called them out at midnight. Bill was fair and I got photos of the repair.

Victor S.

Drain had been slow for a year. Turned out to be grease, not a clog. Jetted and it has been perfect since.

Bianca N.

Water Heater Installation questions

How long does a replacement take?

A straight swap in an accessible basement is usually two to four hours. Tight closets, attic installs and gas or venting changes take longer.

Should I go bigger?

Only if you actually run out. An oversized tank costs more to run every day of its life. We size it to your real usage.

Do you take the old heater away?

Yes. Removal, haul-away and disposal are included in the quoted price.
